My First Day of Kindergarten

On Tuesday, 6 September 2005 I started Kindergarten at Grant Elementary in Mission Hills. I like my teacher, Mr. Martocchio, and am making new friends. Also, some of my friends from pre-school are at Grant, including Jack, Seamus, and Linzey. My Dad walks with me to school, which is so close that I can see it from my house. All that I have to do in the morning is pass through Mission Hills Park, which is across the street.

My first day was very tiring, but I'm excited that Mr. Martocchio will be giving me piano lessons and I will get to help tend to a garden that we are planting behind the classroom. Every night I have 15 minutes of homework, which I have to record in a journal. Whew! Who knew that Kindergarten would be so much work.
