'07 Grant Halloween Carnival (1 of 3)

Due to wildfires in San Diego just before Halloween, the 2007 Grant Halloween Carnival was postponed until "October 34th" (i.e., November 3rd)! This year's carnival was especially fun, since lots of my friends were there.

The air guns were great! I played against Micah, Jack, and Roby.


Roby stood across from me, so he and I mostly shot at each other.

13 Months of Construction

We are 13 months into construction of our house. Progress is really slow. On 28 September 2007, here's what the house looked like.

On the North side of the house, scaffolding was up and waterproofing paper had been applied.


The same was true on the South side of the house.


This is the view from my dad's bedroom, out onto his balcony. Notice that the entire wall of glass folds away to the right.


My bathroom will have a wall-mounted toilet. The white toilet tank is embedded in the wall, anchored by a blue metal frame.

Pearl's Modern Fort

My kindergarten friend Pearl has a new present from her parents--a custom-built modern fort. It's two stories tall and is great fun for climbing.

Birds at the Zoo

Dad and I go to the San Diego Zoo pretty often. I especially like to watch the birds, which is what we did on a visit on 8 September 2007.

I posed next to a bright red bird that I really liked, but it's sort of difficult to see the bird.

First Day of 2nd Grade

I started 2nd grade on 4 September 2007 at Grant Elementary in Mission Hills. The year should be terrific--most of my friends are in my class this year and we have a great teacher.

Colin, Joe, and I are in the same class and we posed for a picture on the morning of our first day of 2nd grade.

Pool Party with my 1st Grade Teacher

On 12 August 2007, my first grade teacher, Ms. Maltz held a pool and pizza party. Lots of my friends attended.

Jack is on my shoulders, and Roby is behind me.

Scootering in Balboa Park

On 11 August 2007, Grammy, Papa, my Dad and I went to Balboa Park in the evening to enjoy the perfect weather. Dad and I rode scooters and had a great time.

Grammy and I stood at the edge of the reflecting pool and I was talking to her when Dad took this picture (that's why my mouth is hanging open like one of the koi in the reflecting pool!!).


In the pedestrian alley where we live, I've perfected the art of riding two scooters at once! This picture was taken on 4 September 2007.
