Visiting Santa

On 9 December 2006, I visited Santa at the San Diego Marine Corps Recruit Depot. I told my Grammy that this was the Santa that I had to visit, because he's the real one. I visited him last year and told him that I wanted a puppet theatre for Christmas, and that's what I got. I posed with Santa along with my Grammy, Papa, and Dad.

Arizona Landscapes

I took some photos during my trip to Arizona. Here are a few.

Cactus (1 of 2).

Cactus (2 of 2).

The next two were taken from the car while whizzing along at 75 mph.

Hard to believe, but this is a color photo.

Rocky mountaintops.

A Trip to Arizona

On 3 December 2006, my Dad and I drove my great grandparents to Arizona. I met my Aunt Raedean and Uncle Scotty for the first time. Here I am with them.

Aunt Raedean and Uncle Scotty let me pick out a Christmas toy--I chose a remote controlled car with two body styles and two sets of wheels. I was so excited by the car that I took a picture of it.

My great grandpa Gene, Raedean, Scotty, and great grandma posed for a photo with me...

...and then I took a photo of them with my Dad.

My Nature Photos

While camping with my Dad after Thanksgiving I took some nature photos. Here are a few.

My First Camping Trip

The day after Thanksgiving, my Dad and I drove up to the mountain town Julian; Grammy and Papa drove up, too, in their car. That night, my Dad and I camped at William Heise Park. My Dad called it "car camping," since our tent was set up in a campsite by our car. During the night, people in the campsite next to us were whooping it up and playing loud music. While lying in the tent I asked my Dad "How can all that noise come through the zipper?"

Papa and Grammy helped set up the tent, but didn't stay the night.

In the morning, my Dad and I went on two hikes. I gathered kindling wood on the first trail.

We were at an altitude of over 4,000 feet and in the morning it was cold!

I took a photo of my Dad in William Heise Park, where we camped.

On the second hike, I took a break on a log near a burned tree. A huge forest fire had gone through the area 3 years before.
